Heraklion Archaeological Museum

The museum showcases valuable treasures excavated from archaeological sites all over Crete, representing thus almost every aspect of the Minoan Civilization. It also contains by far the most important collection of artefacts of the Minoan Civilization of Crete including statuettes, rare pottery pieces, jewelry, unique wall paintings dating back to Crete’s Golden Age and the Phaistos disk.
