On Markou Mousourou street, continuation of 1821 street, is the church of the Virgin Mary of the Crusaders. Beautiful, overwhelming, decorated with rare frescoes.  

This is the only building that was saved from the monastery of the Crusaders (Crosecchieri).  The current church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Santa Maria according to the Latin name) and was a church of the Western denomination. Cells and guesthouses were built around the temple in order to accommodate monks and pilgrims, when they passed through Khandaka on their way to the Holy Land.
